The Extended Essay (EE) Boot Camp is offered to students in the summer before their senior year, usually in conjunction with the IB Workshop. The Extended Essay is a significant undertaking, and we aim to give students the skills necessary to write this independent research paper. The EE Boot Camp provides eight hours of instruction on college-level approaches to research in areas such as choosing a topic, formulating a research question, narrowing your focus, finding and evaluating sources, citation methods, and academic honesty. Additionally, the EE Boot Camp provides students with effective strategies for organizing research, managing time, and identifying strengths and weaknesses in their project.
