Program Fees

IB participation has associated fees. Walden does not retain any portion of these exam fees, but we understand that IB participation is expensive, and we offer reduced fees for students who are on fee waivers. Some financial aid may be available if you do not qualify for fee waivers but still cannot afford the costs of participation. We are also willing to set up monthly payments to reduce the impact of fees.

Student fees are used to pay for the following services:

Comprehensive assessment of moderated internal assessment and externally marked examinations and clerical checking to ensure accuracy
Access arrangements and consideration of individual special circumstances
A printed diploma
Access to results one day after results are released to schools
Transmission of results to universities worldwide, upon request

Summer retreat fees are used to pay for the following services:

Supplies and food
Transportation
Activity fees
No part of this fee is used to pay faculty. Walden faculty and administrators donate their preparation, planning, and instructional time to the summer retreat
