  • Why should I do IB?
    Participating in the IBDP yields many tangible and intangible benefits. Please see the page Why IB? to learn more.
  • Are IB classes harder than regular classes?
    There is no such thing as a regular class at Walden! All our courses and programs are designed to challenge all students in an engaging, nurturing, and supportive environment. As a school, we work together to help all students to become their best selves. See Support for Walden IBDP for the many ways you will be supported in the IBDP.   • Who can participate in the Walden IB Diploma Program?
    Every Walden student participates in the IBDP through the CAS Project, a Walden graduation requirement. All Walden 11th and 12th graders are eligible to take IBDP courses, either as Diploma candidates, Course certificate candidates, or for Walden credit only.   • Does the IB program meet state Common Core standards and graduation requirements?
    The Walden IBDP both meets and exceeds state Common Core standards as well as state graduation requirements. All Walden curricula are aligned to fulfill the Walden School mission, IB approaches to teaching and learning, and Utah State standards and requirements.
